Soviet Era Synthesizers
Explore a bold new sound with previously unheard analog loops and beats, created using restored East European, Soviet-era synthesizers. The royalty-free sample pack, produced by East-Berlin born, poly-instrumental composers Brueder Selke — also known as award-winning cello-piano duo CEEYS — features a handful of restored organs, a Polivoks dual oscillator, and the polyphonic Faemi, all of which were developed and manufactured in former Communist-era Germany, and Soviet Union. In addition, the pack includes a selection of some handpicked experimental instruments, select drum kits made with an original 1970s rhythm box, along with a dedicated kick module, all recorded through a quartet of custom made RFZ (Deutsche Rundfunktechnik) preamps and a selection of paired effects, including a ping pong, a tape echo and a dual spring reverb. Atmospheric and melodic, this assortment of unique synths, drums and effects is an invitation to get inspired by this forgotten sound.
