Rust Vol. 1
Rust Vol. 1 is an eclectic collection of metal impact and tuned percussion sounds recorded in a wide variety of natural environments. This first volume of our Rust series focuses on small objects and found sounds. You'll find metal racks, paint cans, soda cans, magnetic balls, steel pipes, brass hardware, a musical saw and odd bits of furniture, along with large structures like mine shaft gates, steel tunnels, towering stairways and massive structural I-Beams. These rich and complex resonant sounds have deep musicality when played as melodic tuned percussion and they hit like a freight train when used for percussive effect or in sound design for films, games and interactive content. All of the sample content is included as standard open PCM wav files to allow you easy access to manipulate, reprogram and customize the sounds however you wish. This library was recorded in a number of different indoor and outdoor environments, out in the elements and often in uncontrolled conditions. You may hear ambient noises, such as wind, wildlife, creaks, thuds, cracks and room tone in the background in some samples, depending on the recording location and subject matter being recorded. Our goal is to preserve and accentuate the natural human qualities in our instruments without overly sterilizing the recordings.
