OUD FLAVOUR 1

The Oud is one of the oldest stringed instruments closest to the spirit and conscience of humans and has become since then associated with Arab culture and traditions. Is a short-neck lute-type, pear-shaped, fretless stringed instrument, very similar to other types of lute, and to Western lutes. Similar instruments have been used in the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia for thousands of years throughout the ancient world (Arabia, Asia Minor, the Caucasus, the Levant, Greeks, East Thrace, Elamites, Hittite, Roman, Egypt, Iran, Indian, Chinese, Armenian/Cilician, Canaanite/ Phoenician, Israelite/Judean, Albania and Bulgaria, Mesopotamia, and the Socotra Archipelago.) There may even be prehistoric antecedents of the lute. Modern-day ouds fall into three categories: Arabian, Turkish, and Persian. JAM LOOPS presents the first pack of the OUD FLAVOUR Series. A mix of Middle Eastern grooves and melodies, performed with traditional Turkish Oud and a creative improvisation by Fotis Trasanidis. We intend to produce a colorful Eastern essence with Western influence, capable of giving a special boost to your tracks.
