Divergent Sound - Dark Minimal Drum & Bass Dark Minimal Drum & Bass captures the essence of modern, minimal DnB and draws inspiration from artists such as Waeys, Sustance, Phentix, Azotix, and others. Each drum break is designed using contemporary synthesis techniques and layered with live textures, such as the tail of an acoustic snare drum or noise generated from the rumble of a low-pitched acoustic kick drum. The percussion elements combine synthesised sounds and foley for added depth. Each drum sample is mixed and ready to incorporate into your track. In addition, the bass loops can be added straight into your tack, or you can analyse them to recreate their tones and movements with your chosen synth. Production Tip: When trying to recreate bass sounds, examine the resonances using a frequency analyser, particularly one that allows you to take a screenshot of the reference sound. Start by identifying the correct notes and key of the sound. Next, find a waveform that matches the reference in frequency, aligning the resonances sequentially to form the foundation of your sound initially. From there, you can experiment with movement using an LFO and filters and adjust the tone and modulation with filters.
